Frequently Asked Questions
When does the Masterclass start?
The Masterclass opens for access and will begin on Monday February 3rd, continuing for ten weeks through April 13th 2025. There's no need to worry if commitments prevent you from taking each lesson on the day it's released. Once they're released, the lessons will be available to you for as long as you need them. Registration will close on February 3rd, and you will not be able to sign up again until the next time the course is open for registration.
How is the course administered?
You will create an account when you pay for the Masterclass. As each lesson becomes available, you'll be able to access the daily quizzes, lesson notes, FAQ, dictée exercises, listening comprehension recording, and frequent video or audio bonus materials on the Love Learning Languages platform. This is where you'll complete all of the course material and receive feedback from Jennifer. You will continue to have access to all the materials after the course has ended. However, please note that after April 2025 the comments and questions in this course will not longer be actively monitored.
Is the Masterclass the same as your "French Course for Self Learners"?
The quizzes, dictées, listening comprehension exercises, weekend recap videos, and daily FAQ are not included in my self learners course. Likewise, the materials included in the self-learners course are not included in the Masterclass. There may be some overlapping materials in the form of lesson guides. Some, but not all of the bonus video and audio materials may also be included in my course for self learners.
What happens after I pay?
As soon as you sign up and pay for the course, you'll receive a confirmation email. This will include a link to the Love Learning Languages French Academy login page. The course will be activated on Sunday, February 2nd. The lessons will be made available weekly. You will receive email notifications on Sundays when course materials are released.
Why can I only pay in euros?
There will be Masterclass students from all over the world taking this course, and euros are widely accepted. This means that no matter where you are, you'll be able to pay for the Masterclass with a credit or debit card, PayPal or Apple Pay / Google Pay, and your bank will automatically convert the payment in euros into your own currency at the current exchange rate.
Do I get access to all the materials at once?
No, the course materials are "dripped" weekly over the course of the ten-week course. Weekly lessons and weekend tests are published on Sundays. This means you will have access to the materials one week at a time. The gradual release of the materials will help you stay on track and avoid feeling overwhelmed. Once the course materials have been released, they will remain available to you for as long as you would like to access them.
Who is this Masterclass for?
The Autonomous Level Masterclass is meant to be used as a way to fill in the gaps in your understanding of basic and intermediate level French grammar before moving on to more advanced material. 25 different grammar topics are included in the ten-week course. Each grammar topic will span two days.
The first day of a particular grammar point will include a study guide, a grammar based quiz, and a dictation exercise to complete. All of your questions will be answered in the FAQ that is provided. You can ask additional questions within the platform if they are not addressed in the FAQ.
The second day of the same grammar point will include a text to read with comprehension questions to answer. There will be an audio recording of the daily text read by a native Parisian. All of your questions about the reading passage will be answered in the daily FAQ, and of course you can ask additional questions that are not covered in the FAQ within the platform.
